Message from Dean (Training)

Greetings from the Management Development Programmes (MDP) team of IIHMR.

On behalf of my colleagues, I thank you for visiting the Training/MDP website and for your interest in our short-term Training Programmes; we call them Management Development Progammes. You will find our calendar of programmes in our website. The primary objective of most of our programmes is to enhance leadership and managerial competencies to improve the performance of Health Systems.

Training is one of the most important activities at IIHMR and our MDPs fulfill this need. These programmes are meant for senior and mid level officials who would like to keep themselves updated with the latest concepts, ideas, tools, and techniques in managing Health Systems in better way.

IIHMR will offer you a unique experience of learning. In the training, you learn as much through discussions with your peers as from the resource persons. During the discussions, you will be discussing and sharing your experiences, and comparing your experiences with the others with different points of view and perspectives. In this process, you learn from others and become wiser to solve the related problems.

Indeed, we have strong and dedicated multi-disciplinary faculty team to deliver these programmes with their rich insight and experience. Needless to add, the faculty would have high expectations from you in terms of preparedness for the class, quality of participation, and desire to learn. During your stay, you will have access to our library which is considered to be one of the best libraries in the country in the area of Health Management.

Besides offering our own MDPs, we also conduct training programmes for organizations specifically tailored to suit their requirements. You may consider to contact Dean (Training) requesting for specific programmes to be offered for your organization.

The stay and board facilities at our Guest House located in the campus have been consistently rated as excellent by the participants and we are continuously improving them to serve you better.

Once again, I welcome you to the unique experience of IIHMR’s Management Development Programmes.

Best wishes.
