  • Background : A  Human  Resource  Management Information System (HRMIS) is the core of any successful organization. It is the centralized repository for all the critical data needed for administrating a workforce. An efficient HRMS, besides managing employee records, transforms an impersonal “company” into a trusted employer. As an organization grows, traditional methods for addressing employee information needs usually result in a haphazard combination of paper and computer based systems. As paperless office is one of the objectives of CMSO, this Human Resource MIS would take the organization a step ahead towards the objective
  • Methodology : A questionnaire was prepared and need assessment was done for designing the model
  • Findings : HRMIS is going to be very beneficent and effective  for  CMSO.  The  staff  of  CMSO  was  for  the motion of paperless office that is in support of implementation of HRMIS in the organization. 100% staff (taken as the sample) was keen and positive for undergoing training to learn more about HRMIS.
  • Recommendations : Proper computerization and organized Management Information System for the administration department in CMSO. Integration of various manually maintained data in the department so that it can be generated in a routine manner for effective monitoring. To develop an IT based management information system to facilitate effective implementation and ensure access to information and feedback mechanisms.
