Training Capabilities of IIHMR, Jaipur
The Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur has been actively involved in training and capacity building of professionals working with in health sector. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India recognises it as an Institute of Excellence for training and capacity building. The institute has designed and conducted number of training courses for Government of India and other States/UTs to improve leadership and managerial competency. The Institute has been designated as WHO Collaborating Centre for District Health System based on Primary Health Care. As a WHO Collaborating Center, institute receives request from WHO-SEARO for designing and conducting WHO fellowship programmes for in-country and international participations.
Over 480 training programmes pertaining to institutes thrust areas have been organized since the inception of the institute. In its various programmes, IIHMR has trained more than 8000 health administrators and managers in India and abroad. IIHMR has emphasis on creating and developing a critical mass of professionally trained programme managers and health administrators to improve management practices in health and related systems. Custom Training Programmes
IIHMR Jaipur collaborates and partners with select organizations to plan, design and conduct custom training programmes that address organization’s specific training needs to enhance managerial competencies of the programme managers for better outcomes and performance. The expected outcome of training programme is a determined learning experience that enables the governmental/non-governmental organization to improve its performance. Professional Development Courses (PDC) in Management, Public Health and Health Sector Reforms
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India identified the institute as Collaborating Training Institute for organizing the 10-week duration Professional Development Course to improve the leadership and managerial competence of district medical officers working with government.
