Design thinking today is a proven and easily accessible framework for problem-solving, to health challenges. By using the design thinking framework, participants can uncover and develop effective solutions guided by people in the communities where the healthcare challenges exist. This programme will help in unlocking diverse, small, and iterative prototyping of potential solutions, based on insights from the people living with, and having the most at stake in, addressing the challenges. This programme offers students opportunity to work on real time problems and designing solutions for them. The programme is a blended mix of theory and practice sessions. During the programme students will learn the values of creativity, strategy for innovation, the design thinking approach, engagement practices, scaling and reframing, diagramming, and storytelling, and prototyping to test assumptions. One can easily learn how design thinking can be applied in health and social care settings to drive innovation and approach challenges. This programme provides you with the tools, resources, and inspiration needed to generate innovative solutions to challenges you see in health and healthcare.

This training programme has been designed to enable participants to understand:

Upon completion of the programme the participants will be able to recognise the changing nature of the healthcare landscape and the shortcomings of relying only on Linear, Logical, Analytical and Sequential Thinking and therefore the need to adopt non-linear approaches to business growth and innovation through Design Thinking. The participants will be able to comprehend the Design Thinking philosophy and how to practice it. They will be able to critically examine problems and arrive at innovative solutions through a process of creative and divergent thinking.

This is an experiential offline programme that involves lot of interaction, hands on exercises, and a project. The programme will be mixed of interactive lectures, case discussions, video, guest talks.

Sheenu Jain

Dr. Sheenu Jain She is Associate Professor, Marketing and Chair, Centre for Innovation, Incubation, Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at IIHMR University. She has worked for a short stint with Jaipur Rugs as Assistant General Manager, Marketing and Communication. Before this, she was faculty in marketing and entrepreneurship at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur. She has over 16+ years of experience in academia, consulting, start-up training, digital marketing and student mentorship. She has earned her Ph.D. in green marketing. She holds a multi-disciplinary master's degree in MBA (marketing), M.Com and MSc applied psychology. She headed the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a young management scholar at IIM Calcutta for about three years. She is also an ISB, Hyderabad, certified entrepreneurship educator. Goldman Sachs and London Business School have selected her for the 10,000 women entrepreneur programmes. She is also a certified master trainer from the Wadhwani Foundation on entrepreneurship education. She is a Design thinking expert and carried out consulting with various organizations.

Programme Fee

The programme fee for Indian participants is INR 24,750 + 18% and for International Participants: USD 462 + 18% GST. The programme fee includes tuition, background reading material, lodging and boarding.


Early Bird Discount: Nominations received with payments on before 4-weeks will be entitled to an early bird discount of 10%.
Group Discount: Any organization sponsoring four or more participants to the programme will be entitled for a discount of 20% on the total fee payable provided that at least four participants attend the programme.
Maximum Discount: Organization can avail themselves of both the discounts subject to maximum discount of 20%.


The programme will be held at IIHMR University, Jaipur. IIHMR University is located near Jaipur International Airport, Sanganer, Jaipur. The University campus provides a learning environment to the participants are welcome to use the library and recreational facilities at the campus.


A certificate of participation on the completion of the Programme will be issued by the IIHMR University, Jaipur, India.
