Heat Health Forum Consulting Meeting
On September 19, 2025, IIHMR University, in collaboration with the Institute of Economic Growth, hosted the Consultation Meeting of the Heat Health Forum (HHF) in Jaipur to address rising climate-linked health risks.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. P.R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University, and graced by Mr. Rushabh Hemani, CFO (a.i.) and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Specialist, Climate & Environment and Emergency Focal Point, UNICEF Rajasthan Office.
The meeting brought together over 60 delegates, including government officials, faculty, experts, and civil society representatives.
It featured technical sessions on the physiological and public health aspects of heat-related risks, along with strategies for planning, preparedness, and mitigation.
Participants shared valuable insights that contributed to the development of a heat-health action plan and guided the formation of the Rajasthan Heat Health Forum, fostering collaboration for evidence-based strategies to strengthen a resilient and adaptive public health system.
