Programme Objectives

The broad objective of the program is to build knowledge and skills to facilitate high performance as effective professionals in health and hospital systems, both in the public and private sectors. The syllabus and course content are designed keeping in mind the current requirements of the healthcare industry. The objectives are as under:

  • To develop skills in planning, building and managing healthcare organizations.
  • To participate and contribute to the formulation of public health policies.
  • To enhance decision making and administrative competence of the students to enable them to face challenges of the healthcare industry.
  • To promote knowledge through applied and conceptual research relevant to management and to disseminate this knowledge through publications.
  • To collaborate with other institutions in India and abroad for furtherance of professional exposure.
  • Taking Management education towards institution building in a meaningful manner.

Programme Outcome

  • Understanding of the latest concepts and techniques of management and their application in making the managerial roles of the participants efficient and effective.
  • The capability of analyzing and solving operational problems in the delivery of healthcare and hospital services.
  • The adeptness of appropriate strategies for effective planning, implementing, and evaluation of institutional and community-based health and family welfare programs.

  • Capacity to understand and appreciate methodologies of health/hospital management training and develop skills with a focus on strategic responsibility for training and imparting human resource development in the healthcare industry.

  • Logistics expertise to promote the efficient and equitable allocation of resources, and development of strategies, to promote public health and cost-effective healthcare.

Summer Training

Each student is required to work with an organization, on a project, for a period of eight weeks at the end of the first year. The objective is to allow students an intense day-to-day interaction with organizations. Summer Training provides students exposure to the working of an origination in real time. It also helps students to develop managerial skills, competencies and facilitate an informed career choice by the students. Performance of the students during summer training is assessed by way of report from the institution and poster presentation.

Elective Courses

Elective courses are offered depending on current industry needs, student’s requirement and their interests.

Dissertation and Internship

Each student is required to submit a dissertation involving primary research in his/her area of interest. The dissertation includes a critical review of literature of specific area of interest, data collection, and analysis on the selected problem. The dissertation must be completed in the second year to qualify for the degree.

MBA Hospital and Health Management:  
Merit Scholarship:

MBBS Students: The scholarships will be awarded on merit basis to MBBS students applying for MBA Hospital and Health Management Programme as per the following details on meeting the given eligibility criteria:

Non-MBBS Degree Holders: The scholarships on merit basis will be awarded to Degree Holders other than MBBS applying for MBA Hospital and Health Management Programme as per the following details on meeting any one of the given eligibility criteria and score obtained in the admission process:

Note: MBBS students will also be eligible for offer of higher scholarships based on CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/ATMA percentile if they meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above.

  • Under freeships, full tuition fee reimbursement will be offered to students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS (Economically Weaker Section) on need cum merit basis.
  • Total Number of Freeships available: 1 Freeship for SC/ ST/ OBC and 1 Freeship for EWS student.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Freeships will be awarded to eligible students based on combined merit (Including all rounds of GD & PI) prepared at the time of admission.
Terms and Conditions
  • Merit Scholarships are not guaranteed to all the students fulfilling the above criteria.
  • Limited number of merit scholarships for each program (as mentioned above) will be awarded based on the above eligibility criteria and on first come first serve basis at the sole discretion of the IIHMR University.
  • Freeships will be awarded to eligible students based on combined merit list prepared (including all rounds of GD&PI) at the time of admission.
  • In case of tie between two students having same overall score in the admission process, offer of scholarship/ freeship will be given to the student who would be having higher percentage in bachelor’s degree..
  • Merit Scholarship waiver is applicable on tuition fee of the entire program (Including 1st and 2nd year tuition fee). The total scholarship amount will be adjusted in the last instalment. The amount of Scholarship will not be disbursed directly to any of the student.
  • Benefits under freeships and scholarships cannot be availed together. Students who are offered freeship will not be eligible for availing scholarship along with freeship.
  • There is no need to apply separately for scholarship. The application form submitted for admission for the opted program by the prospective student will serve as application for scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Any recognized bachelor's degree of minimum three-year duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For candidates who do not have CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT scores but wish to apply for MBA Programs, IIHMR University will conduct IIHMR-U MAT and GD-PI at IIHMR University Jaipur To Know the Dates, Click Here
  • Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the Bachelor's degree programme or awaiting the result of their final year examination in 2021 may also apply. If selected, these candidates will be given provisional admission. They will be required to produce evidence of their graduation within two months of the start of the session
  • Working professionals with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply

Selection Procedure

The eligible candidates will be invited for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection of the candidate is based on his/her performance in the qualifying examination, score in CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/ IIHMR-U MAT, Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) as under:

* More weightage will be given to national level entrance tests i.e. CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/GPAT over IIHMR-U MAT at the sole discretion of the Admission committee
Candidates are required to bring their original documents at the time of GD/PI.

Education Loan Assistance

All major banks provide bank loan for this course. Students who wish to apply for the bank loan may formally take admission in the university by paying their first installment. The student may share the bank and branch where he/she wish to apply for an education loan, the admission department will help the aspiring students understand the loan procedure and the required documents as per the bank will be provided upon request.

Duly completed application forms with all supporting documents may be sent by post along with a demand draft of Rs. 1,000/- drawn in favor of “IIHMR University”, payable at Jaipur and all the documents in support of eligibility.

An application will be considered only when it is received with all documents and the application fee. The application fee is non-refundable.
