MBA Hospital and Health Management is the University’s flagship educational program which aims to develop professional managers with requisite skills in planning, implementation, operational management, diagnosis and problem solving, consultancy, and entrepreneurship.

Through this rigorous program, graduates are able to manage hospitals and healthcare institutions globally, both in the public and the private sectors, thus meeting the demand for quality healthcare management. The in-take capacity of the program is 210.

The broad objective of the program is to build knowledge and skills to facilitate high performance as effective professionals in health and hospital systems, both in the public and private sectors. The syllabus and course content are designed keeping in mind the current requirements of the healthcare industry. The objectives are as under:

Summer Training

Each student is required to work with an organization, on a project, for a period of eight weeks at the end of the first year. The objective is to allow students an intense day-to-day interaction with organizations. Summer Training provides students exposure to the working of an origination in real time. It also helps students to develop managerial skills, competencies and facilitate an informed career choice by the students. Performance of the students during summer training is assessed by way of report from the institution and poster presentation.

In the second year, the students are required to opt for Hospital or Health Management. The stream is allotted before the summer training based on merit, aptitude and individual preference in the first year. The following specialized courses are offered in the respective streams:

For both the above streams, each student will have to choose one elective course, has to submit a dissertation and has to successfully complete an internship at the end of second-year.

Elective courses are offered depending on current industry needs, student’s requirement and their interests.

Each student is required to submit a dissertation involving primary research in his/her area of interest. The dissertation includes a critical review of literature of specific area of interest, data collection, and analysis on the selected problem. The dissertation must be completed in the second year to qualify for the degree.

    Scholarships are not guaranteed to all the candidates fulfilling the above criteria
    Limited scholarships will be awarded based on the above criteria, overall profile and score obtained in the selection process at the sole discretion of the Admission & Scholarship Committee.
    SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EwS/Kashmiri Migrants/Children or Widows of personnel of the Armed Forces meeting the above criteria will be given preference in award of scholarship
    The total scholarship amount will be adjusted in the last instalments. The amount of Scholarship will not be disbursed directly to the student.

Selection Procedure

The eligible candidates will be invited for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection of the candidate is based on his/her performance in the qualifying examination, score in CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/ IIHMR-U MAT, Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) as under:

Education Loan Assistance

All major banks provide bank loan for this course. Students who wish to apply for the bank loan may formally take admission in the university by paying their first installment. The student may share the bank and branch where he/she wish to apply for an education loan, the admission department will help the aspiring students understand the loan procedure and the required documents as per the bank will be provided upon request.

IIHMR University is also having formal tie-ups with Central Bank of India, and other nationalized banks for offering education loans, to students interested in taking admission to different programs offered by the university.

Duly completed application forms with all supporting documents may be sent by post along with a demand draft of Rs. 1,000/- drawn in favor of “IIHMR University”, payable at Jaipur and all the documents in support of eligibility.

An application will be considered only when it is received with all documents and the application fee. The application fee is non-refundable.
