Associate Professor

With her more than 16 years of professional experience in social – developmental, academic and research sectors, she has joined IIHMR University as an Associate Professor under Institute of Health Management Research. Having done her higher studies from Delhi School of Economics, she has an extensive multi-sectoral experience and expertise, such as Resources Management, Water Resource Management, ecology & environment, Nutrition, Gender, Rural Development, NREGS, Panchayati raj and Local Bodies institutions, Health, Education, Community participation, Hospital management on PPP Mode, Institutional development, Livelihood and Skill development, advocacy, communication etc.

She started her professional career as a faculty of Geoinformatics in Birla Institute of Technology. Having an inherent interest for social sectors, she worked in social & development extensively which earned her significant professional experiences in the Social sector as a lead of many flagship schemes at the State levels. Apart from providing technical support to design, plan, implement and monitor Government Programmes, she has acquired excellent skills and oversight of specific operations. She has a good experience of working with the UN and Government systems at various levels to promote their programs by designing, planning, implementing, and monitoring, such as, National Health Mission, Department of Women Empowerment, Department of Women and Child, National Urban Livelihood Mission, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Panchayati Raj Department etc. At the Department of Health, as the State lead of ASHA programme, she earned the credit of planning, designing and developing the prestigious ASHA Soft- the online payment and monitoring system. It brought her the recognition by getting selected as one of the National Best Practices at National Level and she received an award from the State Government for her significant contributions.

Under the UN system, while working with UNFPA as a State consultant for innovative IVR Cloud based missed call Radio communication program for stopping of child marriage and promoting adolescent empowerment, she has played a crucial role in planning, designing and implementation of the program. While working with UNICEF as the State SBCC Consultant for Jan Andolan under National Nutrition Mission through various platforms and UNICEF supported Seven Pillar Schemes to achieve various SDGs at Panchayat level gave her a good insight for managing and designing a mass campaign, coordinating team of development professional, evaluation exercise, reviews, and program-based advocacy.

She has also given inputs in the State Water Policy, Mukhyamantri Jal Swablamban Yojna, Resource person at IGPRS, the State Institute of Rural Development under State Partnership Programme of European Commission and Government of Rajasthan, a visiting faculty at the Officer’s Training School at HCMRIPA ,that is, Rajasthan Institute of Public Administration and at National Institute of Disaster Management under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

She also has enriched data analysis and research experience and have developed an insightful understanding of the identification of program gaps through data analysis and its linkages in the context of the existing policies of the government and its expected impact on the community. She has a good understanding of the working of NGOs and Grassroot organizations.
