Micro and Small Business Management (MSBM)

Banking Finance and Insurance Management (BFIM)

The Banking financial service & Insurance sector in India has traditionally been pivotal in contributing substantiality to the overdue growth of the Indian economy. This course is specifically designable to equip participants to be future ready.

Pedagogy

Eligibility

Graduation Degree

Any graduate with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and for candidates belonging to reserved category, there is a relaxation of 5% marks i.e. 45% marks in aggregate will be considered. Postgraduate with minimum of 50% aggregate marks are exempted from requirement of minimum 50% aggregate marks in graduate degree.

Work Experience

At least one year of work experience in corporate sector, development sector, healthcare sector or related field is required.

Assessment and Examinations

There will be two kinds of assessment and examination for each credit courses viz. internal assessment and end term examination. Each will carry 50% marks of the total. Minimum qualifying marks for each component will be 50%.

All students have to complete assignments given by the IIHMR course coordinator for internal assessment. However, end term examination will either be done through IIHMRU's exam or by the SWAYAM course certification exam.

For field components, each student will be placed under a mentor. Mentor will assess the performance of students and submit the marks to the examination cell. Minimum qualifying marks for field component is 50%.

Course Credits

The programme comprises 42 credit courses. Out of these 34 credits are for courses to be covered through contact classes, problem solving assignments and case
studies and remaining 8 credits are for the field study components. Field components consist of Live projects to be done during the second semester. As per
the UGC guideline, IIHMRU allows the students to do some modules through SWAYAM with the prior permission from the Programme and respective
course coordinator. Students who will do the SWAYAM courses they need not to do the contact classes for those courses at IIHMR and need to write end term exam conducted by the IIHMRU. However, all students have to complete course assignments for internal assessment.

Residential Requirements

Executive PGDM requires 21 days of residential contact teaching. This includes residential requirement of three day for the Live Project. Residential duration for contact teaching can be reduced proportionately if the candidates do some of the courses through SWAYAM as per UGC guidelines in lieu of residential
contact teaching with prior permission and approval from the programme as well as course coordinator. Details are given below.
