Birth Anniversary of Late Shri P.D. Agarwal Ji
IIHMR University, Jaipur, observed the Birth Anniversary of Late Shri P. D. Agarwal Ji (PD Ji) on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Shri P. D. Agarwal Ji (1920–1982) was a visionary Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist, and the founder of the Transport Corporation of India (TCI) Group. Through path-breaking innovation, ethical leadership, and an unwavering commitment to integrity, he transformed India’s logistics and transport landscape and set enduring benchmarks of excellence.
Beyond logistics, PD Ji played a seminal role in establishing and nurturing institutions across education, healthcare, rural development, and women’s empowerment through enterprises such as ABC India, GATI, and the Bhoruka Group.
His life exemplified a rare blend of entrepreneurial excellence and deep social responsibility. He is remembered as a legend for transforming logistics systems, promoting inclusive rural development, and fostering a culture of trust, professionalism, and excellence that continues to inspire institutions and leaders across generations.
