The global knowledge-sharing seminar “Bridging Evidence and Practice: Seminar on Applying Implementation Research / Implementation Science to Transform Health Systems” was successfully conducted virtually on March 07, 2026, bringing together eminent experts, researchers, and practitioners from Asia, Africa, and leading international institutions. The event was graced by distinguished leaders including Dr. P. R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University, Jaipur, and Dr. S. D. Gupta, President, Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur, along with other senior experts such as Dr. Mihut Mihai, TDR Program Manager and Head, Program Innovation Unit, Geneva, and Dr. Emmanuel Asampong, Department of Social & Behavioural Sciences, School of Public Health, University of Ghana.

The seminar was organised into two thematic tracks: “Application of Implementation Research in Transforming the Health System Across the Globe – Experience Sharing” and “SIHI Talks – Teaching Social Innovations in Implementation Research.”

Contributions from senior academicians and professionals, including Dr. Vinod Kumar S.V., Professor & Dean, SD Gupta School of Public Health, IIHMR University, Jaipur; Dr. Archana Shrestha, Professor & Director, Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences, Nepal; and Dr. Humayra Binte Anwar, Assistant Director, BRAC University, Bangladesh, enriched the discussions.

The deliberations emphasised practical insights, cross-country learning, and strategic approaches to bridging the gap between evidence and practice, reinforcing the critical role of implementation science in advancing resilient and effective health systems.
