Field Visit to Bombay Hospital, Jaipur – TLHSS International Training Programme

IIHMR University, Jaipur organized a field visit to Bombay Hospital, Jaipur, as part of the two-week International Training Programme on Transformational Leadership for Health System Strengthening (TLHSS), conducted under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, from June 29 to July 10, 2026. The visit was conducted on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, under the guidance of Ms. Kirti Agarwal, Assistant Professor, IIHMR University, Jaipur.

The field visit was planned to provide participants with practical exposure to the hospital’s healthcare delivery system, clinical services, operational processes, and management practices. It also enabled participants to understand hospital administration, patient care pathways, quality assurance mechanisms, and the integration of healthcare management with clinical excellence in a tertiary care setting.

During the visit, the participants observed important aspects of hospital functioning and were introduced to different operational and clinical areas of the hospital. The visit offered an opportunity to study best practices in tertiary healthcare delivery and strengthened their understanding of leadership and management approaches for building resilient health systems.

A total of 19 healthcare professionals representing nine countries, namely Belarus, Bhutan, Fiji, Kenya, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, and Tanzania, participated in the field visit. The interaction and on-site exposure enriched the learning experience by connecting academic concepts with real-world hospital operations and healthcare service delivery systems.
