February 27, 2026 Voters Awareness Drive

The National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers at IIHMR University organised a Voters Awareness Drive on February 27, 2026, to promote awareness about the importance of voting and encourage responsible participation in the democratic process.

University staff and students actively participated in the drive, gaining a better understanding of their voting rights and the proper procedures involved in casting a vote.

The NSS team explained key aspects including voter registration, verification of voter ID, usage of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and VVPAT, and the importance of ethical voting practices through interactive sessions.

The session also included a quiz to reinforce learning, followed by the administration of the Voters’ Pledge, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to responsible electoral participation and democratic values.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Gautam Sadhu and Dr. Arindam Das.
