Associate Professor

Dr. Piyusha Majumdar (Ph. D; M.Sc in Anthropology from Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi), is an alumnus of Miranda House college, Delhi University. She has qualified University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test Examination for university level lectureship. She has previously worked with The Inclen Trust International, Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Psychology, University of Delhi and GfK India. She is a public health Specialist, Implementation Researcher, Qualitative Researcher and has been instrumental in Designing High-Quality Project Proposals for National and International clients and brilliantly implemented multiple Research Projects in the area of Implementation Research, Public Health, Child health & Nutrition, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, Tobacco control and Health communication. As a faculty at IIHMR, she has been vigorously involved in guiding, mentoring and teaching MBA and MPH students and Research Projects. She is also working as a Co-PI in a multi-country research project of ‘Synthesis and Translation of Research & Innovation in Polio Eradication’ (STRIPE) Project in India in partnership with Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Department of International Health, US. She has worked collaboratively with other eight country partners to contribute towards knowledge synthesis and worked as a Teaching Team Member for developing Lectures and case studies based on the core competency in Implementation Research Link: https://stripe.jhu.edu/about-us/consortium-partners/. Additionally, she is also a Project Coordinator for implementing Post Graduate Training Program in Implementation Research at India funded by WHO/TDR. She has plethora of publications in national and international journals. She is also an Editorial Board member for Academic Journal of Anthropological Studies and Review Editor for Frontiers in Tropical Diseases and Asia Pacific Journal of Health Management.
