Dr. Sandesh Kumar Sharma
Dr. Sandesh Kumar Sharma
Professor
Professor Dr. Sharma joined IIHMR in 2016 as an Associate Professor and now serves as a Professor. He earned his Ph.D. from Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU), Jaipur, after completing an MBA in Health Care Administration from Oklahoma City University, USA. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS) from LMC.
Building on his academic foundation, Dr. Sharma coordinates the Executive Programs – Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Hospital Administration (MHA). He also holds an Affiliate appointment in the Department of International Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA, for the joint MPH program with IIHMR University.
With more than two decades of experience in hospital and healthcare management, his areas of expertise include hospital clinical services, hospital support and utility services, hospital disaster preparedness, and healthcare quality management. His professional contributions encompass teaching, training, hospital consultancy, and research. He has authored a book chapter and published several research papers in Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals.
In recognition of his dedication and achievements, Dr. Sharma was honored with the “100 Most Dedicated Professor Award” at the World Education Congress. He is also a Life Member of the Academy of Hospital Administration and a registered medical practitioner with the Rajasthan Medical Council.
