Q1. Who are eligible for admission to this program?

  • Any recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three-year duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • CAT / XAT / NMAT / MAT / CMAT / ATMA / CUET-PG / IIHMRU-MAT score.
  • For candidates who do not have these test scores, IIHMR University will conduct IIHMRU-MAT at IIHMR University, Jaipur.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the bachelor’s degree program or awaiting final year results may also apply. If selected, they will be given provisional admission and must produce graduation evidence within two months of the start of the session.
  • Working professionals with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
Q2. Is my admission guaranteed if I fulfill the above criteria?

No. Eligible applicants are shortlisted for group discussion and interview based on graduation percentage and CAT / XAT / NMAT / MAT / CMAT / ATMA / CUET-PG score. Final selection is strictly based on merit, including qualifying examination marks, aptitude test score, experience, GD, and personal interview performance.

Q3. What do I need to do to apply for this program?

Q4. What kind of preparation is required for IIHMRU-MAT, personal interview, and group discussion?

Preparation for IIHMRU-MAT is required. The question paper has five sections:

For GD/PI, no specific preparation is required. Communication skills and general awareness will be important.

Q5. Will there be any problem in coping with studies or getting a job if I am not a science or medical graduate?

No. The course is management-oriented and not focused on medical science. Alumni from diverse academic backgrounds are doing well in their careers.

Q6. What kind of job can I expect after graduating from this program?

You can be recruited at management level in private hospitals, corporate hospitals, government and non-government organizations, pharmaceutical industries, and other healthcare-related organizations.

Q8. Do you have a Placement Cell?

Yes, there is a placement cell with student members and a faculty coordinator. The cell organizes campus interviews and regularly updates students about job opportunities. No organization can guarantee placement, but campus interviews have helped almost all students in the past.

Q9. How much will the course cost after admission?

Q10. If I discontinue the course or do not join, will my deposited tuition fees be refunded?

If a student or candidate withdraws from the course, fees will be refunded as per University norms. If a candidate leaves after commencement of the course, they will not be entitled to fee refund except caution money.

Q11. What about scholarship, loan, or financial assistance?

Bank loans are available. Candidates sponsored by their employers are encouraged to apply. Need-cum-merit scholarship is based on first-year marks.

Q12. Is it a degree or diploma?

It is a postgraduate degree: MBA.

Q13. Do I have to make a choice for different streams of the course?

The streams available for students are:

  • Hospital Management
  • Health Management

The stream is allotted before summer training based on merit, aptitude, and individual preference in the first year.

Q14. How are these streams different and which one has more job prospects?

The first year is common for all streams and builds multidisciplinary skills in management principles, communication, and health systems. Hospital Management focuses on institution-based or hospital-based healthcare systems, while Health Management focuses on community-based healthcare systems covering preventive, promotive, and curative needs. Both streams are structured according to industry requirements.

Q15. What do international collaborations imply for job prospects?

IIHMR University has technical collaborative links with Johns Hopkins University and other universities. These collaborations add to the prestige of the university, but they do not directly imply job opportunities at those organizations.
