SDG SPH World Health Day Celebration Online Competitions Results

IIHMR University celebrated the World Health Day 2023 by engaging with young minds and giving them an opportunity to showcase the skills in depicting any intervention, program, initiative which has led to furtherance of public health in India; either though impacts in the form of decline in morbidity , mortality, or improvements in quality of healthcare services.
To mark World Health Day 2023, a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Health for All - Showcasing Public Health in India” was organized by SD Gupta School of Public Health, IIHMR University. The online competition was organized in line with the World Health Organization’s theme for WHD 2023 “Health for All”.
This year’s theme for the World Health Day : “Health for All”, envisions that all people have good health for a fulfilling life in a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world. Individuals and communities who have access to high quality health services are committed to a healthier future and improvement of well-being.
This activity was planned to give an opportunity to students for unleashing their creativity, skill building, instilling confidence and uncover personal aptitude.
The competition was announced on April 04, 2023, and the students were requested to submit their entries by April 10, 2023. The cash prizes were also announced for the best three entries. The students enthusiastically participated in the competition. Many impressive entries commemorating the theme were received.
The Jury was constituted to evaluate the posters submitted by the students which selected the winning entries for First, Second Third position. The posters were evaluated on merits of creativity, context, facts quoted, concept and overall appeal.
