Q1. What is the curriculum for MBA Pharmaceutical Management?
MBA Pharmaceutical Management is an integrated program of Pharmaceutical science and technology with various business strategies and regulatory issues pertaining to pharma industries. As a pharmaceutical management aspirant, you will study a blend of course curriculum of business management topics and pharmaceutical technology issues specific to the pharmaceutical industry. The learning pedagogy is designed to stimulate the young brain through advanced classroom lectures, group work, management games, extensive field visits and case studies which prepare students to become competent pharmaceutical managers.
The course curriculum on business topics includes core management subjects, besides pharmaco-economics, strategic management, data management and analysis. You will learn about these topics in general as well as how they can be applied to the pharmaceutical industry. You will also study pharmaceutical regulatory affairs and supply chain management within the industry. Additional courses like IPR Management and Capstone Project will cover the current trends and opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.
Q2.What is the purpose of summer training and dissertation in MBA Pharmaceutical Management course?
Summer training provides an opportunity to have a first-hand experience in the pharmaceutical sector as a learner. Well-planned eight-weeks summer training provides the student with hands-on experience of various components of the pharmaceutical organization. It also helps the organizations to tap the skills and knowledge of the students and to engage them in their projects.
About dissertation, the students are required to present a report while performing their daily activities in their respective organizations. They are finally assessed based on the quality of their dissertation.
Q3.What extra-curricular activities will be done during the two year full time program?
During the program, the University organizes learning and networking events with various pharmaceutical professional bodies. Some of the topics covered are human resource management in pharmaceutical industry, healthcare academia–industry interface and opportunities, challenges, and innovations to provide current perspective on pharma industry.
The University also has facilities for games & sports, swimming pool and a well equipped gym. Apart from cultural activities, blood donation camps are also encouraged. The University encourages participation of students in various conferences and presenting their papers.

You will need to obtain a bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 year’s duration with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) from a recognized university in Pharmacy, Medicine (MBBS), BDS, Biotechnology, BAMS, BHMS, Science and Management with a valid score of entrance exams like CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/GPAT. - Any recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three-year duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/GPAT score.
- GPAT score is also accepted for admission in MBA Pharmaceutical Management
- For candidates who do not have CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/GPAT scores but wish to apply for MBA Pharmaceutical Management, IIHMR University will conduct IIHMR-U MAT at IIHMR University Jaipur.
- Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the bachelor’s degree program or awaiting results of their final year examination in 2023 may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be given provisional admission. They will be required to produce evidence of their graduation within two months of the start of the session

Q7.What is the average time of students study in each week?
The average study time on campus is about 30 hours a week plus 10 hours of self-study which makes it about 40 hours a week. Students must study in 4 sessions a day and each session is of 1.5 hours.

Yes. You are eligible to apply for the MBA Pharmaceutical management program and you may be admitted to the course provisionally subject to your successful completion of graduation within specified time decided by the Admission Board.

The application will be evaluated based on your academic qualifications and management entrance exam score. Short-listed candidates will be called/informed to attend the group discussion & interview which would be intimated through post/courier and through e-mail.
