Gender Elements Mainstreamed in State and District Health Plans and Program Interventions

The objective of the study was to mainstream gender component in the program planning processes and the various programmatic interventions under the RCH II. The objective was to enhance the capacities of program managers to provide gender sensitive RCH services in terms of program planning, implementation, supervision and monitoring
A situation analysis was undertaken in four districts (Banswara, Bhilwara, Jodhpur and Karauli) of Rajasthan. In view of the findings, a four-day training program on 'Mainstreaming Gender' in the state and district health plans and program interventions was designed and conducted in April 2010.
