D4H Gender Equity Mentorship Program

The Center for Gender Studies at IIHMR University, Jaipur, India has been selected as one of the sites for D4H Gender Equity Mentorship Program. The Data for Health (D4H) Initiative co-funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Australian government, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, strives to improve health data systems in over 40 low- and middle-income countries. At Gender Equity Unit, it works with several partners at D4H, including Vital Strategies, CDC Foundation, Global Health Advocacy Incubator, WHO, United Nations Economic Commission of Africa (UNECA), and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) as well as many in-country partners.
The mentorship program is designed to provide the mentee with knowledge, support, and valuable expertise to achieve their goals and aspirations involving gender equity. Dr Nutan Prabha Jain, the D4H Gender Equity Mentor, plays a crucial role by not only providing the mentee with information, resources, and networking opportunities focused on gender equity, but also by serving as the mentee’s guide, model, and sounding board.
