Monitoring the Performance of Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA Sahayogini) in Rajasthan

Since the introduction of ASHA Sahayoginis, evaluation studies conducted on the performance assessment have indicated that the focus on motivation of ASHA remained unaddressed, resulting in deviation from achieving the overall objective of NRHM. Thus, there seemed a need to monitor ASHA intervention in Rajasthan to achieve the desired outcome or the objective of NRHM to provide door-to-door quality services. The Government of Rajasthan commissioned IIHMR to monitor the performance of the ASHA Sahayogini in the state and provide regular feedback to the state government.
